OUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY NAVIGATING THROUGH COVID-19
The coronavirus outbreak is first and foremost a human tragedy, affecting hundreds of thousands if not millions of people worldwide. A range of outcomes are possible, but we should not assume the worst. The world is grappling with a challenge of enormous scale and uncertain human impact and our hearts go out to all who have been affected by the outbreak.
At Perpetual, we believe it is our role and responsibility during this time to prioritize two things: seamlessly continuing to support our clients and candidates while also playing a constructive role in supporting health officials and government leaders as they work to contain the virus. Through that lens, we will continue to deliver on our commitment to our clients and candidates guided by our company purpose of Progressing People’s Professional Lives.
I wanted to personally reach out to you and provide an update on the actions and deliverables that Perpetual is taking to help prevent the spread of the virus and support the health and well-being of our clients and candidates, our employees and our communities.
We are currently maintaining regular business operations across the U.S. and Europe, whilst having our team work remotely to support the containment and social distancing initiatives. In the short term, we will move to a model that relies on remote technologies to continue seamlessly delivering for our clients with shared conference call facilities, Zoom meetings and team collaboration workshops. We are continuing to partner with all clients in talent acquisition mandates, pro-active talent pipelining and talent mapping projects as well as facilitating remote training of dispersed teams – running war gaming sessions, challenging team members to work as huddle groups assessing current business challenges and recommendations. It is our goal, as we navigate this dynamic situation, to partner with our clients so their businesses remain ahead of the game in all aspects of talent whilst they adapt and maintain engagement with their remote workforce.
