laura mckenna

Laura is a West Point graduate, former Army Officer and Afghanistan Veteran, and an award-winning leadership educator. Laura has over 20 years of experience leading high-performing people and organizations, teaching, coaching and speaking, as an Executive Coach and human performance and Talent Optimization professional.

After commissioning as a Military Police Officer, Laura led organizations on deployments to the Pentagon in the immediate aftermath of the 9.11.2001 attacks, and to Afghanistan.

Upon returning home, she transferred to Aviation and flew Blackhawk helicopters. Laura finished her military career teaching leadership at West Point, at which she received the Krzyzewski Award for Character Education Excellence. Upon transitioning from the military, Laura has held corporate people leadership, client relationship, and planning roles in manufacturing, physical security, and financial services.

Having spent over five years as an executive coach and leadership development trainer, Laura is a speaker, functional health coach, and human performance coach.

Given her upbringing as a military « brat » followed by her own service-driven relocations, Laura has lived internationally in both Europe and Asia.
